Sovák Acta Physica Polonica A 137, 914 - 917 17th Czech and Slovak Conference on Magnetism DOI: 10.12693/APhysPolA.137.914 Diamond Proposal Number(s): [20770] Show Abstract ▼ Abstract: Solid phase stability and magneto-caloric effect of a ternary Gd50Co48Fe2 amorphous as-spun ribbons was studied in this work. The magnetization curve was measured at temperature range from 200 to 360 K. Subsequently the isothermal magnetization curves were measured as well at temperatures ranging from 200 to 350 K and at magnetic field between 1 to 5 T, using SQUID. Based on these experimental data, the magnetic entropy changes were determined. Thermal stability and phase composition of amorphous alloy was experimentally confirmed by difference scanning calorimetry and synchrotron X-ray diffraction. At elevated temperatures two crystallization events were observed. It has been found that the investigated alloy is a prospective aspirant for magnetic cooling devices.	May 2020

Miglierini Acta Physica Polonica A 131, 657 - 659 16th Czech and Slovak Conference on Magnetism DOI: 10.12693/APhysPolA.131.657 Show Abstract ▼ Abstract: In this work, influence of 238U swift (5.9 MeV/u) heavy ions on the as-prepared Fe–Cu–Nb–Si–B metallic glass was investigated by in situ temperature X-ray diffraction of synchrotron radiation. It was observed that ion irradiation strongly affected the temperature evolution of the parameters of the first diffuse peak. It is hypothesized that ion irradiation induced structural rearrangement that increased the degree of disorder of the amorphous structure. During heat treatment, structural relaxation and annealing out of this ion-induced degradation took place. Consequently, the original structure was recovered as demonstrated by the behaviour of the first diffuse peak broadening and devitrification process.	Apr 2017
