Voloshinovskii Journal Of Luminescence 225 DOI: 10.1016/j.jlumin.2020.117346 Show Abstract ▼ Abstract: The work reports the results of spectroscopic and luminescence-kinetic studies of CsPbBr3 single crystal over 14–300 K temperature range. It is shown that at low temperatures the luminescence spectrum contains three narrow bands at 534, 537, and 541.5 nm exhibiting a fast decay and a broad emission band at ca. 560 nm with long decay. The evolution of the luminescence bands and their temporal characteristics with temperature are discussed from the viewpoint of possible emission mechanisms. The origin of the luminescence bands is discussed in relation with the observed features of their temporal characteristics. The mechanism of luminescence quenching for different emission band is suggested.	Sep 2020

While the local structure of the BH4− ion can be probed using vibrational spectroscopy, the local structure of the rare-earth ion can be studied using luminescence spectroscopy. This is reported here for Tb(BH4)3 and its solvate with S(CH3)2. The spectra clearly show smaller CF splittings for the unsolvated compound. These experimental data are compared with recent DFT + U calculations of the energy levels and CF splittings for Tb(BH4)3 and show that these calculations significantly overestimate the experimental results. Rudyk Journal Of Luminescence DOI: 10.1016/j.jlumin.2017.05.021 Open Access Show Abstract ▼ Abstract: The X-ray luminescence and scintillation properties of undoped ZnTe crystal were investigated as function of temperature down to T<10 K. The luminescence of ZnTe is quenched at room temperature, but below 150 K the crystal exhibits emission at 575 nm with characteristic recombination decay kinetics. The emission is attributed to the radiative annihilation of electrons captured at the shallow levels of impurities or defects with holes trapped by Zn vacancies. The temperature dependence of scintillation light output of ZnTe was studied. It was found that at excitation with α-particles the light output of undoped ZnTe is 117±20% of a reference CaWO4 crystal measured under the same experimental conditions. It is concluded that undoped zinc telluride is a promising scintillator for cryogenic application, particularly for the cryogenic search for neutrinoless double beta decay (0νDBD) of 130Te.	May 2017

Pipe Journal Of Luminescence 134, 63-66 DOI: 10.1016/j.jlumin.2012.09.013 Show Abstract ▼ Abstract: The luminescence and scintillation properties of ZnS–Ag/6LiF where studied in the 7–295 K temperature range to evaluate the suitability of the scintillator for neutron detection at very low temperature (<1 K). It is shown that decrease of temperature has little effect upon principal luminescence and scintillation characteristics of ZnS–Ag: the changes of emission intensity are small for photoexcitation and negligible for excitation with ?-particles. The recombination kinetics of the scintillation decay exhibits modest shortening of the fast decay time constant, from 4.52 to 3.35 ?s with cooling to 10 K. It is concluded that ZnS–Ag/6LiF is a promising scintillator for cryogenic application.	Dec 2012

Experimental data from a suite of framework silicates are presented to illustrate the capabilities of the system. Experiments studied include simple (CW-XEOL) spectroscopy, (TR XEOL) lifetime experiments dose and dose rate dependence (CW-XEOL) experiments, spatial (TR XEOL) on heterogeneous sample, wavelength resolved (TR XEOL), Optically Derived X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy, (OD XAS).
